It is with great sadness that we report the death of Mike Booth, Regional Organiser.
Mike had worked for UNISON (and Nalgo) for 36 years prior to his retirement in May of this year. He was widely respected as a first class advocate, negotiator and pensions expert. He successfully led on the North West region’s response to the 2016 Trade Union Act when the union’s income was under threat.
He had suffered from serious illness in recent years and died at home in recent days.
Details of his funeral will follow in due course.
