It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of UNISON UoM’s dedicated Retired Members Officer, Muriel Shingler.
Muriel passed away on 20th May 2024, at the age of 81.
Muriel was more than a colleague; she was a cherished member of our team who devoted her life to helping others. Her passion for charity work, particularly her tireless efforts with the Wood Street Mission, inspired us all. Her kindness, dedication, and warm spirit will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time.
As we remember Muriel, let us honour her legacy by continuing the charitable work that she was so passionate about.
