This last year has seen a number of extraordinary UNISON NW campaigns, pre-dominantly led by women, including HCAs re-banding, migrant care workers fighting for fairer visas and Save our Care Homes in Lancashire.
ㅤ
Women make up the majority of our union, but unfortunately that does not tend to translate when it comes to more senior positions in union branches and structures.
ㅤ
That is why UNISON North West will be launching the Low Paid Women’s Network this year, in order to amplify the voices of women on lower wages in the union and to access specifically curated training courses.
